ASSEMBLY NOTE - You can either opt for us to assemble your FMR unit into your van at our Mid Wales facility (takes 2 hours), or alternatively have your unit shipped flat packed to your door.
Please be aware that in order to ship this unit all items come flat packed and require initial assembly. We provide all fixings and fasteners and a full step by step guide for assembly, but we would recommend you are competent at DIY and have basic hand tools.
Introducing the Flexible, Modular and Removable (FMR) Universal Camper System from Orbvans (Patent Pending). Designed to fit to the full width of your vehicle and help you easily convert your small, medium, and large vans into a practical and comfortable camper van whenever you need. The FMR also allows your to bolt on additional modules (See bolt on Drawer and cupboard units) which you can mix and match for your flexible, versatile camper system.

Suitable for both short and long-wheelbase models, the FMR’s adaptable design provides almost universal compatibility with the most popular vans in the United Kingdom and Europe. Only requiring an interior width of 1450mm (above wheel arches) or more and a length of 1800mm or more from the rear doors, installing the Orbvans FMR System is the simplest way to transform your van into a camper, and due to the flexible adjustable nature of the design, if you ever change your vehicle in future, your FMR bed can be transferred to the new vehicle easily, even if its a different model.

Flexible and Removable
Purchasing and running a second vehicle for a campervan can be expensive and inconvenient. So why not have one van that can do both?
The FMR’s design includes a 3-piece bed and 2 side mounting frames that are simple and quick to assemble and disassemble. The ‘Removable’ component of the FMR bed top can be removed in 3 lightweight pieces, in less than 5 minutes, and the flexibility to remove the FMR kit to return your van to its factory default in the same amount of time.
Modular Customisable Components
The FMR Universal Camper System comes as standard with two side mounting frames and a 3-piece bed base. This design is purposefully simple allowing its easy removal to return your vans’ loading area whenever needed.
But that's just the beginning of what the FMR can be. Campervans are meant to be customisable to your unique needs and to facilitate the types of trips and activities that you want to make.
That is why at Orbvans we have created a selection of modular bolt-in components that effortlessly fit into the FMR’s bed base. Allowing you to modify the FMR to be a completely customisable campervan solution, and evolve with you as your campervan needs change.
The FMR universal camper system approximately weighs 75kg and measures up to 1780mm in width, 1800mm in length, and 570mm in height.
The size of the converter kit also maximises the space of your van's loading area, providing you with high levels of comfort and room above the bed; and optimal functionality and space utilisation underneath the bed.
Placing An Order/Delivery
The Flexible, Modular and Removable (FMR) Universal Camper System is available to order online now with a lead time of 2-4 weeks. If you are purchasing the FMR kit with additional components, the lead times for each additional component may vary, a confirmed lead time will be sent to you promptly after placing your order.
All of the Orbvans campervan conversion kits are available for pickup from SY15.
